This was one of the first designs that I made after I began to use vintage Indian silk saris for my BJD clothes.

The remarkable feature of all these designs is adjustability that allows to put these dresses onto a various bodies: thicker, thinner, of various height (+/- 2-3 cm).

Indian saris are usually made out of a thinnest fabrics: silks, cottons, synthetics, that can be gathered into multiple folds, and you can easily stuff 1.5 meters of fabric into 16 cm of doll's waist. It's amazing.

This design I named "Orchid" has Art Nouveau vibes, with its flowing lines and massive jewelry piece.

The set is made for a collector from France who is a period clothing enthusiast, just as I am, and we share a similar taste in clothing.
